lil wayne is the best rapper alive... not eminem or jay z although eminem is actually a good rapper. if you listen to his CD's they flow together. yeah he kinda sold out on his last album but its still pretty good

There's a LOT more worse rap then Lil Wayne, although most of his new shit is just bleh. Hip Hop these days is sad, but then again most people judge hip hop by what they hear on the radio, which is 1% of hip hop, and the worst 1% for the most part. Whatever's clever, if your roomie is bumpin' Prom Queen throw some $1 headphones at him.

Goober come on, Jay-Z is still great, Death of Autotunes sums up how lame hip hop got. Yes, he has used Biggie lines, but so does EVERYONE. Rap is so hit and miss though I'm like arguing with myself as I type.

people need to hear the underground stuff of their music and not the mainstream stuff like you said. i have over a thousand lil wayne songs and they beat any of the stuff on the radio, but can't be played on the radio.

lil wayne is over rated and the only reason he is the "best rapper alive" is because he is marketing towards what americans want to hear... AND there are no other real rappers out right now. yeah, Kanye had is 808 and heartbreak album a few months back, yeah, there are other rappers out there doing things, but no one is doing it right. not yet anyway.

I'm just waiting for the next real rapper like Jay-z, Kanye, Nas, etc.

some of his music that can only be found online is REALLY REALLY good. His mixtapes are awesome, i mean this guy had been at it since Big Tymers were still together (back in the day), he does a few lyrics on the I got that work album. He is not someone that just popped out of the woodwork like some people may think.
