Story for you...

So this may be a bit long, but I thought it was pretty cool. Thought I would share.

So my neighbor used to own a yellow '99 GT which he did a nice build on. It was cammed, vortec blower, 4:10s, DRs, and a bunch of other shit. He was making 409 rwhp last run. Best time was like 11.8 or something.

Anyway, he decides he is going to up and sell it. So he tells me this....and that he has this guy who has cash in hand.... ten grand....and wants to buy it. As astounded as I was that he wanted to sell it, i told him to. So he does.

This guy shows up bout 6 days to get the car. As my neighbor said, he was about 19 or 20. Seemed pretty responsible, takes care of his current car, etc. My buddy said he told the guy that it wasnt a toy and to be real careful. The guy says ok. Transaction complete.

Well four days after he buys the car, my buddy gets a call from him. The guys says, "my parents said wtf is this? What did you buy? This car is to much for you. Take it back and get your money back or you are going to be kicked out of the house." He then proceeds to ask my buddy to take the car back.

Well needless to say, a new price was worked out after the guy called my buddy yesterday and said he was kicked out and he has to get rid of the car now. My neighbor is buying it back for $7500. So he basically made $2500 for renting his car to some guy for a week. Lucky mother fucker!

Anyway, thought I would share.

$2,500 for nothing but a few miles. Sounds good! Hopefully he didnt fuck anything up in the process of "determining it wass too much for him to handle".

Also, good for his parents. Too many parents are not willing to take a stand to keep their kids safe.

damn dude, i was literally paying that much for gas at my last job and i was splitting the bill with my boss. i wasn't even making $210 every two weeks after we split the gas bill

Times have definitely changed!

I hope the car isnt fucked up when it comes back. It was pretty nice condition. Low miles to. I think he is still gonna sell it.

Yea. I kinda got a little pissed with him though. Longer story with me and him....but he sels shit before he gives me a crack at it. I would have taken the DRs, his brembo brakes, and a few other nice items off his hands before he sold it. Fucker! At least I let him know (yet again) and hopefully this time I will get them before it goes.

yeah, but maybe he doesn't want to sell you stuff b/c your a so close and he is worried about shit breaking. Tell him to sell you the car for 8k and he will make another 1g profit.

Nah, his shit is good to go. He takes care of it. I would have no worries. Not to mention he would come over and help me fix it....plus he has an extra $2500 to spend on my shit breaking because of his shit.
