Post Count Change

They take away post counting towards the clubhouse section? Just notice i posted 2 times and im still at same number... its about time.. no more post whoring!

I would expect that it won't affect anything actually, afterall are you really going to not make a post in the clubhouse because it won't count now? Have you noticed that we've never publicly displayed a top posters list?

well i am sure us mods will see a trend if someone keeps going on and on about something in the tech sections and we can take care of that. And it will be easy to spot the people doing it with over 2000 posts in a month they got to be hurting for more lol. Hell i was on here right after the site got started and only have 700 posts and i am on here everyday answering questions, but thats all i do mainly is try to help people out

I want to repeat what I just said in the Clubhouse sticky, we aren't trying to change anyone's posting habits - only where you're posting your non-Mustang stuff. Most people (without this thread) probably would have never noticed the post count increment change in the Clubhouse.

now that i think of it, that wouldnt that be the solution to the posting problem? i think that would be an AWESOME add on. You get to take a test to see how much you know and you get ranked for it.... it would be an OUTRAGOUSLY awesome add on to the site.

Anyone can know a lot about Mustangs and their history, but not everyone can actually apply the knowledge to help out or even care to help. Some people come on here to just bs with other people. That wouldn't be as good as you think it is. Another thing is people would get frustrated with taking the test, and also some people would be really upset to find out they don't know as much as they thought they did, too easy to cheat on and get a high ranking, and who wants to come onto a mustang website to take a test?

whether or not a post counts shouldn't matter. join date and reputation (most of all reputation) should tell more about a member and their credibility, especially in the tech sections.

Post counts dont matter...

I think it is a good thing...Posts in the Clubhouse are off topic posts...Its only right for them not to count...

Anyways post counts really have nothing to do with how much someone knows...

I'm actually happy about this. Now when i spend time with friends, whom I met here at MM, in the games section and post back and forth with him or her or them I won't have to deal with people calling me a post whore. Well, after my count evens out anyways.

I agree with ya there bud. This is the reason that Chris Torres hasn't been around lately. Me him said our words about it, and this is what Chris told me

...n too many people look up to me like a God....and honestly i dont like it lol. You, and AB know so much more then me and dont get credit for it and i hate shit like that.

So the whole reputation thing is gettin thrown away. With all the new people comming and going on here, its hard to establish a reputation.
