Well said. I'm retired Air Force. I served from 1969 to 1996 as both enlisted and an officer (with a break in service for college and OTS). It has been my experience that a test score does nothing nothing more than open the door. It's what you do when you walk through the door that counts.

+1 I'm surrounded my military people almost all day every day. I can't stand the bs that some people try to pull and it does give the military a bad name. Nothing but respect, and the best of wishes for people who are in the military, and do what they do because they love it. The ones who are proud to be in the military, and the ones that don't lie about it.

I don't remember wha I scored on the Asvab's but I know that I scored quite high. For two years recruiters kept hounding me. Then after I got hurt, and lost my wrestling scholarship I couldn't get in the Marines even, and they take anyone. I was going to go in the Navy though.

i suggest you study and take the test again. your recuiters are probably fucking with you by telling you that you can get any job. i'm not making fun of you or anything, i'm just trying to give you some honest advice. i took the asvab a couple times and ended up scoring a 93 so i was definately qualified for everything.

but i would seriously call your recruiters out on their bullshit. my dad was a recruiter and always gave kids the honest truth and always made mission. so it pisses me off when i see other recruiters lying to kids just so they can make mission for the month

ok what did i miss here. 48 on your asvab, dude you must be borderline retarded. to get into the airforce i think you had to have a minimum of a 35. You scoreing a 48 means that 52% of the entire AF that took that test did better than you.
