Mazda is an american company but not made here. Toyota is not an american company but made here. What is the deffinition of an american company to you.


Anyway, its Nitto Tire U.S.A Inc. It was an american spin off company of Toyo Tire. They are an American C Corporation.

So as you can see. Its a subsidary of Toyo, but a U.S Corporation, they make the tires here, they employ people here. And they pay taxes here. But technically Toyo owns it. Its like Ford owning Mazeratti or Land Rover.


Nitto Tire to be US Spin-Off(27,June,2005)


OSAKA, JAPAN - June 27, 2005 - Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. (President: Yoshio Kataoka) will spin off the Nitto brand division of Toyo Tire (USA) Corp., a sales subsidiary, and incorporate it as a separate company, to be called Nitto Tire North America Incorporated, effective July 1, 2005.

The Toyo Group has been striving to enhance the value of the Nitto brand in the US market for High Performance product segments, from Passenger Car tires , SUV tires and Light Truck tires. Nitto Tire North America Inc. is expected to contribute to further boost sales of Nitto tires, especially from the new US plant scheduled for completion in 2006, through timely, flexible, and creative marketing.

And I think of a company as american if they produce the majority of their products and sell their products here. OR if they were started here. OR as long as they don't get money from another government to keep running.

No problem. Yea. To me if the company is INC in the U.S then im cool with that. Like if I bought a Land Rover, ultimatley that money is going to Ford. But to some people, its about making the product here and creating jobs here.

But either way, nittos are made here. maybe with japanese rubber though, who knows. Either way, Nitto tires are awesome.
