Guys we need to unite to help Lacey's(BuRnInYoUrS) Sister.

Lacey(Burnin_yours) sister was born with FAS.

For those of you who don't know what that is, i have provided a link with some information on it. Lacey has been a great member to us and the stories lacey has told me about her sister just make my eyes tear. We need to do SOMETHING for this beautiful girl. Now some of you may say well how does helping this ONE help the others out there and possibly prevent this from happening. Well this is the first step. If we can start making people aware of this problem and this disease we can start to do something about it.

I am going to provide pictures of Lacey's sister when I can find what I did with them, and I'm hoping Lacey will chime in with some stories and her Paypal addy so we can donate.

She loves music and helping when she can. And I hope we can do something nice for her. I know times are tough and I know everyone cant donate. But there are some of us on here that have a few spare bucks that can help this cause.

hey! Arkie i so appreciate you making this thread.

You guys don't make yourselves hurting for money over this, although both my parents and my sister would appreciate it...you would all laugh at her when she came out here, she was going crazy over my car, she was taking pictures of it, and every mustang she saw. She loooves cars and freaks out when she sees nice ones. She kept telling me to go to the track so she could go fast. haha. I miss the hell out of her, and i wish she could have all of the fun i have. Right now she's in a place called Woodrow Wilson where they are teaching her basic life skills and she'll be there until about October. You guys effin rock and you bring tears to my eyes.

i hope your sister will improve her basic skills and enjoy life! i know how hard is it to live with a disability. i was born deaf (i had an operation, i have limited hearing now).

i also know a friend in san diego that have similar condition. im not sure if he do have FAS but he needed to go to school to learn basic function. last time i heard, he now have a wife and living with her. so that shows anyone can overcome any disability!

well, she's basically like a child, when she was out here i had to remind her to shower, to eat, made sure she took her medicine...she knows how to get dressed, put on makeup, etc, but she can't read more than simple words or do complex math, so should you give her twenty bucks to go to the store she'd have a hard time knowing what she could get...hopefully she can learn some of this at the school she's at.

yeah the last time i saw my friend (i was fairly young 12-13 years old and he was 24-ish?), he cant talk, properly use forks/knifes, or sit up straight. but it really makes me happy that he have a wife and it shows me that disabilities does not mean you can not enjoy life.

i never considered my deafness a bad thing, i consider it an advantage, i can argue with someone and take off my ear piece so i can be 100% deaf and say I WIN. and also i sleep like a baby every night.
