Technically you're correct. On this board, though, "GT" almost always means "Mustang GT", and as the Ford GT would have been called a "GT-40" if Ford owned the rights to the GT-40 name, "GT40" is vernacular here to mean either the GT40 or the Ford GT.

Nah Ford GT is the Ford GT...Mustang GT is a Mustang GT...The GT40 is the GT40...

Well like I said. I would like to stay away from a completely different motor because of how difficult and time consuming it could be.. Such as different ecu, wiring harness, etc.
