For all of you all out there that assume that all cops are dicks, here's a nice little story for you..

I was driving up a little road here on campus.. just got the car running after over a week... jumped on it, got it sideways when i grabbed second, and hauled ass up to my apartment.

Get out of the car, and i see a Pueblo Country Sheriff coming up to me..

first thing he says "she sounds pretty healthy!" He then asked me if i knew how many points public display of speed was, and he told me 12 points.

He told me that he likes speed and performance as well, but it shouldn't be taking place on small roads that are on campus.

he said my exhaust (or/h w dumped slp lm1's) made the little bit of hair left on his head stand up lol

and told me to have a nice day..

talk about a sweet cop..

well he works on campus alot, and i guess he's a gearhead, so that helped me out a bit lol

Very nice. The last 2-3 times I've been pulled over, the cops have been super cool. Always good to hear about though.

awesome! once my boyfriend got pulled over in his mustang and the cop handed him a business card tryin to get him to join the Highway patrol! haha.

I have a similar story...

My dad's friend Lloyd owns a tire/brake/alignment shop... he has for YEARS. The best place in town. I took my notch there right after I finished the 5.0 swap. He said the last time he aligned a 5.0 notch was in the late 1980's. It was a DPS coupe. The officer came in and told him the car had a strange vibration around 120 MPH. Lloyd said it could be anything, so he would need to 'feel' this vibration.. The officer told him to go ahead!

Lloyd said.. how am I supposed to go 120 MPH.. that's VERY illegal. The DPS officer said... Who's going to stop a DPS car? So Lloyd took it up to 120, then came back and proceeded to align the car, fixing the problem.
