Who likes graph equations?

Here is what I got.

y - y1 = m(x-x1)

y - (-6) = 2/3(x - 7)

y+6 = 2/3x -10/3

y = 2/3x -10/3 - 6

y= 2/3x -26/3

but its wrong

2/3 times 7 isnt 10/3... its 14/3. and 6 times 3/3 isnt 16/3, its 18/3

here the way it should be

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-(-6)=2/3(x-7)
y+6=2/3x - 14/3
y=2/3x - 14/3 -6
y=2/3x - 14/3 - 18/3
y=2/3x - 32/3 or y=2/3x - 10 2/3

How do you get 2/3(-7) = 14/3? I understand if you do 2(-7) = -14 but every time I did other problems like that I got it wrong.

if I punch in 2/3 times -7 it gives me -4 2/3 or -10/3

-4 2/3 = -14/3

4 times 3 is 12. 2/3 is still negative so its 4 times 3 MINUS 2. that should give you -14/3

the way i multiply fractions is to multiply the top ones across. and multiply the bottom ones across.

2/3 times -7

-7 is equal -7/1

2/3 times -7/1

2 times -7 gives you -14 and 3 times 1 gives you 3

answer is -14/3

Yeah I got it. I knew the final answer already because it was in my test review. I just have to remember to subtract when solving a negative mixed number because on the test they wont allow mixed numbers.

I had to take the pretest 6 times to finally get it. Land surveying was so much easier

4 more units and 6 more test and Im done with this shit
