Well shit, I was leaning towards kit car because I thought I was only going to need to get a few extra parts but that's quite a list. It's a toss up now. Are the directions pretty good and did you go check out the factory?

No, I have never been over to the factory as its a ways away from me. Yeah, kit cars arent cheap and I have seen a few people get in over thier heads cause, like you, they thought for the intial $20k kit they would have just about everything, but thats not the case. Theres still alot to be had and even doign it cheap your still looking at another $10k... It all starts to add up real quick...

But, restoring a classic mustang or camaro is going to be the same way... All the little things you will need to repair or replace will add up quick as well. Cars are not a cheap hobby and when you get more into building them or restoring them it gets very expensive.

I'm not worried about a lack of money or time really since i'm planning for it to be a long project, I just want to know what i'm getting into.

If the factory wasn't on the other side of the country I would go in a heartbeat.
