Basically no. A mustang is often misconceived as a breed. Mustang means stray, wild. A mustang is a range horse, the Bureau of Land Management sends a bunch out to be adopted every year. Thus people breed them, therefore an American Mustang, is a breed. Kiger mustang is a breed. Mustang is NOT a recognized breed.
