cars I can run with??


lets say i put my KB 2.1L on and besides that I am bone stock, what should I look for to kill and what rides should I stay clear from??

^ you would decimate both of them.

this is a difficult question to answer for the most part and kind of a stupid thing to ask. The best thing you can do with a car is set a personal goal and then go out and accomplish it. Set your goals in terms of power and 1/4 miles times, not "how many ricers can i beat in a street race?" your only gonna make things more difficult on yourself.

think like this: @ 6psi with the KB kit you can look to make right around 350HP at the wheels

ill be at 9psi, but good idea I just know alot of people give a LOAD of shit for driving my stang so with the KB ill I will want to do is go dominate people and I want to know what cars to save face on. lol

you sound exactly like my friend kyle. he went out and bought himself a 93 honda civic hatch solely with the intention of smoking "ricers" who lived in his area. since beating other kids was his only goal quality of the build was never considered. everything was done as quickly and as cheaply as possible just to attain a certain level to "beat" the next honda driving kid. Kyle's car never lasted long enough to even get a turbo put on it because he bought a garbage shell with a destroyed suspension, and wrecked electroincs. now the car sits next to his house and doesnt run.

Dont be like kyle. Dont worry about the local "ricers." Set a goal and achieve it and then you'll be the winner regardless of who is "faster."

You can already tell all those kids to fuck off, because they all do things the same as kyle did and we already know that the majority of their cars have less than a year to live...

Stay away from the C6 z06. Other than that not many other 'stock' cars u might come across on the street will rape u. At 9 psi u will have to worry about other modded cars and factory terrors (AMG's come to mind) handing u your ass

Yeah AMG is the performance division/tuner for Mercedes Benz. They rarely make a car with less than 500hp. Also don't get fooled by hp, more is good but it won't make u invincible. There are so many other variables involved like torque, weight, drive trains, types of FI, and the most important ones of all... Tires and driver skill. I have heard of so many people having money and getting the fastest car they can afford only to run 2secs slower than average at the track or worse, wrap around a pole. And u can have 400rwhp, it will be useless if u are running it on tires from "Earl's Garage".

Youll run with anything short of a Z06 and top of the line luxury perrformance cars. Mustangs are geared low compared to those so you dont need as much power to run with em. Mod the car for yourself though, build somethin you like and that your poud to drive. The ass kickings will go along with it. Theres always gonna be someone faster unless you have unlimited money to through into your car. I dunno bout you but my GT with just exhaust killed and rice I came in contact with.

Most people underestimate how quick a bolt-on new edge GT is, let alone a supercharged one. You should be able to take down most of the cars on the road. Most AMG owners don't go to the track or rev at people at stoplights so I wouldn't worry about that.

Here in Miami we have to worry about Lambo's and GTR's lol

I want to increase the power of my GT too... but since I don't have that kinda money to spend I concentrated on getting what little power I do have to the ground with suspension work. I'm glad I did because after spending 5 sweltering august days straight in a garage I can say that now when I drive my car I am smiling from ear to ear. It's not the fastest or best handling car in the world but it is the result of my hard work, and that alone is enough for me. lol

I hate paying people to work on my car I believe that defeats the purpose. I will most def have to invest in some suspension with the KB though

+1 It would have to be something major that I can't handle or don't have the special tools for me to take my car to someone. And after those damn balljoints and control arms I am not afraid to tackle anything else... except for longtubes.

Only way you are going to find out what you can and can not beat will be to race them. You never know what they might have under the hood. I saw a Geo Metro that had a 911 motor in it, thing barely fit and was a custom job. Just go out and have fun. It will make you a better driver if you come up to a car that might be faster then you.
