Listen. I am not 100% in disagreement with Tim on this.

Here's my honest thoughts on the subject.

If a girl makes a thread, of course it's going to blow up. That's just the way of the world. Guys will always flirt with girls.

Is a lot of the leg humping here over the top and ridiculous? Absolutely.

Am I against people flirting online? No. Not really. My best friend met his wife of 12 years online. That being said, I get that Tim is frustrated because this is not a dating site. It's an automotive site.

If I had to guess, I would say that what Tim rolls his eyes at the most is the constant one-upping and endless little leg-humping jokes by some guys that will go nowhere. You want to ask a chick out? Fuckin ask her. There is a difference between making stupid dick jokes and innocent flirting and the endless drivel of leg-humping.

Where Tim and I disagree is where he comes down on the girls themselves for being 'attention whores', and starts calling into question their looks, their personalities, etc.

I am NOT saying though that it's never an issue. We have indeed had many attention whores here. I just find it funny that almost every time a girl makes a popular thread, she's automatically labeled as that, just by virtue of being a girl.

What, guys don't vie for attention here as well? Both sexes do.
