ah.. this is a great thred.. back when I was in high school I knew this chick(that was crazy hot) that I could actually carry out an in depth automotive conversation with.. gah.. that is so hot.. lol. She drove a `92 Z28 5 spd.. and actually worked on it herself. Long story short, by the time I found the balls to ask her out, some other dude beat me to it by 2 hours... she is still with him today. How great my luck is ..lol.

I've known just as many dudes who suck with wrenches and cars.

I worked with a giantly huge guy back when I was serving my apprenticeship who was doing a service on an old Chevy 1/2 ton van.

First he stripped the drain plug out of the oil pan. By turning the bolt the wrong way.

Ditto for the oil filter. He assraped that motherfucker with his ginormous gorilla-esque arms.

We finally help him get the filter off, and a new drain plug in, tell him to fill it up with oil.

.... and fill it he did. Right to the fuckin valve covers. Fortunately he didn't try to start it.

As for that video, if your electrics fail, but you have one of those locks where you just can't pull up the lock due to being pretty much submersed in the door, and you don't have an emergency trunk latch, what do you do?

I know the answer to this one...I'm just...testing you guys...

you smash your head into the window until it breaks, crawl out onto the broken glass yelling "HULK SMASH!" ... then proceed to flip your car over in rage...

or you pull the door handle... because the car will unlock from the inside

But not all door handles unlock the car from the inside . I think I prefer the former method regardless !

My '98 BMW 528i would NOT unlock from the inside once the locks were engaged. It was designed that way. I would occasionally lock my wife in the car if she wasn't quick enough to get out. I had to tell the locksmith that it was impossible to slim jim it when I lost my keys in the ocean...
