Oh didn't know that...Several years ago when I was a porter, I'd hear customers bitching all the time about labor costs, and service managers trying to explain that everything has to go off their book costs.

Well that's a different story. Technicians get payed a flat rate based off of book time. So if a job pays an hour by the book that is what the dealer charges. It doesn't matter if it only took 30 mins or 5 hours it only pays 1.

well the only thing thats really not stock on the car is the exhaust and thats just welded piping to the stock pipe so im not touching that. i just want the head unit if i total it.

Finally heard back for the insurance company.....its a total loss.

i am now mustangless. the good news is that i will be getting 5400 for the car, and i bought it for 5. so i have alittle wiggle room on getting another car. id like to get another stang but i really dont see the point in getting one when im shipping out in Feb and wont need it for several months. so now i have to think of cars that i would like to drive that are good on gas, cheap to run and not expensive to buy....and preferably RWD.

sorry to hear about your stang.

buy a beater if you are getting shipped out in a few months. Don't spend over a grand.

Just look on GL. There are plenty.

Step 2: do your thing in bootcamp or Iraq and save your cash.

step 3: Don't go out and just buy a car when you get back. Know what you want to buy before hand and research the cost of what you want to buy. Never buy a car from a lot on the first day.

yeah its shipping to bootcamp. im looking at like 240s and stuff like that. they run pretty cheap and i dont care at this point if it looks like hell. i just need to get around town. i was surprised as well that i got 5400 for it but then again its only got like 80k on it.

You have a life changing experience ahead of you. Just buy something you can dick around in until then.

is it gay to buy a miata to drive around in for the next few months till i ship out to boot camp? cause i found a few that are like 2500. i know they are fun to drive but....you know the whole
