Reps!!!!!!!!!!!

I pulled the envelope open and "stars" fuckin flew all over the truck while I was driving. They were getting sucked out the window.

I looked like "my little pony" driving down the street leaving a sparkly trail of stars in my wake.

I havent laughed that hard in awhile. Im not sure how the cars behind me felt though.LOL!!!!!!!!

I was way down I-75 today just north of the Everglades today. I was behind a normal looking semi. I seen the weigh station sign said open and a truck entered about 1/4 miles in front of us. However, the truck right in front of me didnt. I thought if it was open, all trucks had to enter? How does that work?

Some trucks carry around a device called Pre-Pass. It's like a transponder for toll roads, except that it works with inspection stations.

huh. So they dont need to be weighed or inspected? That seems a bit dangerous doesnt it?

what do they check at the weigh station?

Nah not dangerous at all. It just means that the scanner can check all the information of the truck. Who it's registered to, if it's insured, etc, and when it was last inspected. You don't get a free pass every time.

Things they check...

-driver's license
-driver's medical
-driver's criminal record
-random drug testing
-CDL endorsement(s) related to the load you're hauling (doubles, triples, hazmat, etc)
-employment history
-log book status
-tractor gross weight
-individual axle weights
-tractor (power unit) inspection
-trailer inspection
-all documents pertaining to tractor & trailer. registration. insurance. cvor. (commercial vehicle operator's registration). permits related to procut hauled, IE hazmat permits, etc.
-paperwork for the load. bills of lading. destination. point of origin. hazmat paperwork. the load itself.

.....for a start. lol
