If this takes off well, then yes, I'd say we should do it bi-annually...I won't be able to head up the next one though, I'll be deployed to UAE.
I could probobly get things together on the next week. Although ill be transferring or getting out in the summer, it would have to be before or after that gets figured out.

But yea this is my 2nd xmas out of country. I get used to it ya know, still sucks tho. Im a big holiday person, i love everything about xmas.

Sometimes they are issued, but it all depends on who is running the deployment (atleast in the Air Force).

Well the NCF spent a grip of money on the seabees, We had to get new MTV's (modular tactical vest) and every little thing that came with those. Like 5 grand worth of gear for us since the desert deployments were becoming more common.

Awesome, if you send it, let me know who you want it sent to. I think walmart has a basic model for about $20.

basic? nah..

I'll buy a good one from the NEX.

Just send it, doesn't matter who. Try and send it to someone that doesn't have it obviously.

But they gotta be the right kind. Cuz i have some here that only work from the state to state, or state to another country. If anyone can find the at&t worldwide cards, those are the best, hell id even take one now, i cant really talk to my fam cuz my mom got the wrong ones

Yep, it was your idea, but didn't think you were going to start up a thread...its been a few days since you posted the idea lol....so I figured I'd go ahead and get the ball rolling...if you want to take over handling the care packages, I'd be fine with that.

If they have access to DSN, any stateside calling card will work...just call 809-4-OFF-DSN (809-463-3376), that number will get you to a direct dial (dial tone) based in the United States, and then use the calling card.

Forgot to add the link to the disa site on this...
DSN - Using the DSN

Well since you brought up the idea, I'll leave up to you...I think we should keep this thread (just to avoid confusion) and maybe sticky it, but I have no problem at all with letting you run it.
