The Nopi Events

alright ive got a question, i dont know if you've seen it or not.. but on the SPEED channel they have the NOPI events (basically a big ricer queerfest) and they have a drag competition.. now, for lack of something better to watch, i decided hey, ill watch. granted, some of the cars are fast (thats not to mention about 25% of them catch fire...) but one aspect of it has me stumped... WHY would a front wheel drive car have a rear mounted wheelie bar? it still has me stumped.. why would you possibly need that?

PS- the first year they allowed domestics at NOPI, a mustang won the drag competition. hahahahahahaha

Hilarious. I also love how American cars CRUSHED "Formula D" when it took off in America, led by a Viper. Now even the slanty eyed natives are going to American cars.

Friend: "Hey have you heard about this sport called drifting?"
Me: "You mean fishtailing? American cars have been doing that on accident for the last 40 years."

I'm almost sure that the wheelie bars are supposed to help reduce the front to back weight tranfer that would normally occur during lauch. I don't know if that is entirely correct, but I was watching that shit one day, and I have put some time into thinking about why they would do that.
Have you seen the segment that showed the mustangs, camaros, and firebirds crushing these ricers at their own event? That show was hilarious............

Well I hereby release the following into the public domain on the condition that you preserve my handle in the quotation:

Friend: "Hey, have you heard about this sport called 'drifting'?"
Mikebert: "You mean fishtailing? American cars have been doing that on accident for the last 40 years."
