I see the track but thats in line with the wheel as if he just drove it there, doesnt look like a slide. I would think there would be a second slide mark for the front wheel if he indeed slid to that spot.

I agree that the tracks make it look like it was driven there and didnt slide. But still, even if he did drive it straight to get there, what a dumbass. Plus I dont know if its an optical illusion or what but the back passenger side of the car seems to be bottomed out on the ground.

Considering all the computers and BS in the Evo Xs (active yaw control and the like), he'd have to REALLY screw up something bad to put one into the kind of motion that would cause the car to end up like that.

I don't think high-speed hijinks were the 'cause here, but just some dumbassery, like pushing the wrong pedal, or hitting the wrong flappy paddle shift lever and accidently bumping it into 1st instead of reverse.

The other part I dont get is, why take a chance leaving the car un-attended to take a picture? Id be scared shitless and be trying to get it back on the road before I EVER thought about getting out to take a pic.

I was under the impression that the car was left there and the OPs friend snapped a pic as he was driving by it.

Look at all the dust on the car, though. A leisurely cruise doesn't kick up that much dust. It very well could have been and probably was something like the driver just coasting and not seeing where he was going because he was to busy giving his buddy road head or let off the break and clutch so he could reach over the middle console farther. But, I bet that at sometime that night that car was racing or going fast enough to kick up quite a bit of dust before it stopped and all that dirt caught up with it.

The track is not a straight line like he drove up to it. It's got a little bit of arch to it. Granted, it's not much of a slide but if it was a big slide he would of been off the side of the mountain so it makes sense.
