anyone make the jump to the droid?

I dont know anyone that has it, but have been hearing more and more things it does that seem pretty cool. Just not enough to switch from my phone to buy one though.

There are rumors that they're going to release yet another phone in the near future. The Google (HTC) Passion I believe.

yea i up for an upgrade but have been putting it off until i could really make a decision, but the more i check out the droid forums, the more i like what they can do and it seems to really fit my needs except for BBM that i have now.

yea but the nexus one aka passion isnt a cdma phone which means no verizon.

i played with one at a verizon store. not impressed. screen was very quirky at best.

yea i did too...cant always rely on the display model though, plus it did just get an update

idk just eh. i like what google is doing with their OS i just think it will need more time to get it right

well see that can be said about just any phone os. IMO i think the android is gonna be the place to be for a while...at least until blackberry decides to completely redo their os and catch up with apple and android. either way all phones have their faults, no phone out there is perfect.

o me too. dont get me wrong, i like my storm and it took them long enough, but they have finally started to get things right on the os. even with that said, the abilities of the android os right now blows blackberry out the water. with the full customization and widgets, and with the integration of google maps its even better, and will just continue to get better. can you imagine making a jump like the blackberry has but on the android os....it is just gonna continually raise the standard. the only thing android needs to really catch up on is blackberry's email. if android ever is able to acquire push email for all email on their phones and have the security of blackberry, then blackberry will go down IMO. they need to really overhaul the entire thing for 6.0 os if they want to really stay near the top.
