Not sure exactly where you're at...but I would definitely take orders to SD over Port Hueneme or Point Mugu.

Im in hueneme. But honestly the area isnt that bad. The beach is everywhere. Its the perfect distance from Santa Barbara, LA, the valley, everything. But I think I might give SD a try. I just gotta see how long i can reenlist for. I dont plan on doing more than 3 years there.

I lived in SD for about 5 years.

It is a fun and relaxing place to be and the weather is great.
I would relocate there in a heartbeat.

Yea. I would prefer to go back home tho. And I live right next door to great lakes, like 15 mins away. How great would it be to get orders there. But no, all the jobs there and i cant even go there.

Id rather get out and go to college, but the only thing im worried about right now is the car and keeping up with the payments.

Well your best bet is to try and set up a job there and compare the results with what you would have financially in the Navy.

Ive been checkin monster.com and careerbuilder.com to see whats available. If i could get a good job that could pay close to what i get now, ill be fine. Because then i can collect the money from the gi bill and that would help out alot. It sucks when you dont have a degree tho.

If you go for the post 9/11 you will make more money.

They cut a check directly to the college to pay for it in full and they pay you the BAH in your area as long as you maintain school full time.

Yea thats what i need to wait and see. Ive been told it was automatic, then i was told you had to apply. So when we get back, and i take Taps class I will for sure get that solved.

My buddy was an HT, he got out earlier this year, we went to school together. Hes got that and collects unemployment and was making a good amount.

Plus I know in IL they pay for your college and somethin like the money from the gi bill goes directly to you. I dont know the whole jist of it, but thats what my buddy was saying too.
