Anyone from San Diego?

I would put this is regional but I know i will get no feedback whatsoever and in turn end up making another thread in the clubhouse so im just cutting some of that out.

Anyone stationed there, or live/d there? I have been once but only for a weekend. I need to pick orders, they are telling me I cant extend for another deployment to the desert. I want to get out and go back home but I dont know if its financially smart right now. Id prefer to stay in cali and I can pretty much get San Diego.

Anything?? Thanks

Honestly, I don't think it's TOO bad.

Granted, I didn't spend much time there. Just one night with some friends of mine, but the area he lived in wasn't too bad. The cost of living was high (as is with most of CA I'm sure), but it wasn't bad. There's definitely a lot worse places to be.

It's a big enough city to where there's a good amount of stuff to do, and it didn't seem like a shithole from what I remember.

I love it here. I won't move unless there is a job that pays $250K+. It was "freezing" cold today, about 60F and sunny. A few days ago I saw temps in the low 80s.
