I don't feel its a big deal to spend time with different people you car about in life. I can deal with it.

I feel its a bit selfish to not want too when there is multiple house/people.

When I was younger, It was always, Christmas Eve with my Grandparents on my Moms side, then Christmas Day with the Family on my dads side. It worked out nicely because I got a good amount of time with both sides.

Now I have my boyfriend, and when we first started dating it worked out well because His family did stuff during the evening, and mine during the afternoon.

Now all 3 of the families do everything on Christmas Day, at 2:00 pm.

It sucks because I only get to spend about 3 hours at each place. . . Its just not enough.. Plus I only get to have Christmas Dinner at ONE of those places, I have to choose which one to attend.. and that also sucks.

BTW.. this was a rant about not getting to spend enough time at once place.. NOT a rant on having to see my family.. because I love spending time with my family..

thats exactly what i do every year. christmas eve with my mom's side of family and christmas day with my dad's side of family

Normally, I do Christmas Eve at my grandparent's place with my dad's family. Then Christmas day we go to my step moms side of the family and I try to split it between my girlfriend's family and step mons family. No real mom to go to. Haven't seen her in about 10 years....

we swap it out every year.

This year it was Thanksgiving with the wife's family, Xmas with mine and then we will do Xmas with her family in the next couple of days.

Next year it will be Thanksgiving with my family, Xmas with hers and then do Xmas with my family a couple days later.
