Does anyone else have to be at more than once place tomorrow?

I hate having to be at one place for a little bit then say "sorry gotta go, Gotta be somewhere else now"

For once I would LOVE to just hang at one place for Christmas (Thanksgiving too) and have a good time instead of worrying about what Time I have to leave to be at the next place, and not be late.

3 Christmases.. FTL.

Both mine and my wife's family live within 30 minutes of us so we get to go do the rounds on every holiday. It does suck to not be able to just stay with my wife and kids at our home on the holidays, but one thing i realized when my dad passed was that you never really know how much time you have left with them. I'd give everything i have to have just one more conversation with my dad. Enjoy all your family while you can.

Growing up a military brat i never had to travel around on the holidays. I never realized how nice that was. I also never realized what i was missing either.

Yes, it does suck. I'm divorced so we are supposed to split the holidays. This year is our year for the holidays. Which means, they are ours on the actual holiday date. Which is good in theory - but he can't handle not seeing them on the holiday date so when we're done with our Christmas for the day, we take them over to his house.

However, when he has then for the holiday date, he has them the entire day but we never know when he'll decide to bring them back so we can't go do anything but sit around and wait for them to come home.

It sucks. But - one of them will be 18 next year and the other 12 - so the days of having to do this are limited. Then we'll move on to a whole new chapter of suckage - new spouses and grand children to split time with.

To me - it's nice to have it on the holiday with everyone else, but the years we don't, we just have it on a different date and pretend it's Christmas Day. Then we actually have them for the entire day without having to drop everything and run some where.

In the end - it doesn't really matter, as long as we're together and healthy.
