TV Shopping - Where's the Best Place?

So I've been meaning to grab a new TV here for my room. I'm wanting no greater than a 32", but I'd prefer a 32", rather than a 26". Where's the cheapest place to buy them? So far I've just been browsing name brand websites like BestBuy and Walmart and all are the same prices. My budge is no more than $500 so I'd like to keep it below that if possible. Where's the best place to buy them other than asshole stores who are overpriced like BestBuy, etc.?

i've noticed that places like sams club, and walmart, etc may have cheaper ame brand tv's, but when you look at the speciofications of the tv's there not so hot.

for instance my plasma tv at walmart had a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, and 2 hdmi ports for $40 less then pc richards best buy, but the tv at pc richard best buy had a 1 million:1 contrast ratio, was energy star applicable, and had 3 hdmi ports......

I'm not looking for anything bigger than a 32". Anything above that would be to large for the room size IMO.

Absolutely.

Lefty, this is my 42" 1080p Toshiba Regza. It's really not that physically big.

Gotcha. Thanks, I'm not sure how willing the BestBuy is around here to price match. The people who work there (except in the camera's) are pricks.

it's store policy......

you could buy the product at best buy a, then a week later walk into best buy b and point out that either
a) the tv you bought last week is on sale for $50 less and you'd like them to make up the difference
or b) pc richards across the street has the same tv on sale for $75 less and you want them to pay out the difference...

let me also add that i just bought a 42 inch tv and was told that because I only would be sitting 7-8 feet back that a 46 inch would be too big......

well i'm kicking myself because the 42 inch flat screen opened the room up so much that the room dwarfs the tv and the 46 inch would be PURRRRFECT

Thats the most retarded thing I have ever heard... a 46 inch tv was too big because you would be sitting too close to it? really?

who told you that? go kick them in the throat. .

no, i completely see where the guy is coming from..... if you sit too close to tv's it's hard to follow some things...... u need to be positioned back a certain amount of feet depending on the size of the tv........ but he was just way off on his numbers....... a 50 inch would have been to big for only sitting 8 feet away
