well i made the switch from my blackberry storm to the droid today...of course not without issues. once i got the issues straight i got to actually use the beast. i am a big blackberry fan, but what i have found is that everything my blackberry could do, my droid does better and more.

for those that want to know what the issue was, it was a DOA phone that i received my first time around. got the phone, and it seemed to work ok, but luckily i was hanging around in other stores in the area and the phone started locking up and rebooting...just about every 4 minutes it would do it, so i took it back and they just did a complete swap and got me a new phone which works fine.

overall it really bases everything around gmail, so you need to have a gmail account to really use the thing.

its a really fast device, everything loads up soooooo much quicker than the storm ever did.

It's a hard phone to beat, but I couldn't get over how big it was, hence why I have an Eris now. I don't have the first complaint.

The Droid was big? The one I played with at the Verizone store wasn't any bigger than my BB Curve. It was just touch screen and all that stuff. I didn't like the completely plain look of it, but I'm sure technology wise it's a great phone.

Ya... but you can't browse the internet and make a phone call at the same time... unless luke wilson is there to help...

Oh and AT&T has the most popular smart phones so your map means shit!!!

Massive sarcasm btw! I want the droid sooooo bad! I wasn't ready to drop the iphone till it came out. Now I'm ready to drop it off the fucking empire state building!!!

Droid FTMFW and then some!!! SOOOOO much faster than my iPhone 3gs! even though at&t has faster network speed the droid processes the data faster than the iPhone so it puts it to shame! I did a speed labs test on the droid and my iphone and my iphone won but then I loaded the mm members rides thread and the droid brought ALL the pics up like 10 seconds faster than my iphone brought SOME of the pictures up...

I think I'm stuck with my blackberry for a while. I think it would make more sense if the blackberry's screen was on the bottom. Trying to use one hand and type with your thumb is hard, especially when you want to hit enter lol.

check out Android Anarchy.com and go under FREE 100 Best Android APPS. There are soo many good apps. and check out Home++, i just downloaded it and its a really great app. I love my droid too. the next System update (2.1) is suppose to be in january. Im excited. it looks really nice on Youtube.
