need computer help
whats up.. the other day i bought a D-Link wireless router.. model WBR-2310 and need some help.. im not too computer savvy so try to go into detail when you tell me what to do
i ran the disc that came with it and everything and i obviously have my computer connected to the internet.. my computeris the one with the modem, but we have 2 other computers in the house that need to be connected to the internet.. i tried calling D-Link and they were useless so im asking you guys ANYWAYS heres my question.. when i click "add another PC" it asks if i use D-Link to connect to the internet or if i use windows XP.. whichever one i click, it then tells me to double click that icon in the system tray (if it is D-Link, i click the D logo, if it is windows XP, i click the littl computer icon) buutttt the problem is, neither of those icons show up in my system tray.. im pretty sure that if i can get the D-Link icon to show up, it will all be downhill from there thanks |

I will assume that your other computers that you are trying to connect have a wireless NIC.
If that is the case, then on each computer that you need to connect, select Start > Control Panel > Networks. Select the Wireless network and then Connect, which should display a list of wireless networks that you can connect to. Your D-Link should be contained in that list. Click it and select to Connect and that should be it. |

Glad to hear that you got it going.
The best thing to do now is secure your router so that your neighbors can't piggyback your connection. ![]() Do some google searches to find out more information on what I'm talking about. |
