Anyone here running a stand alone engine mgt system?
I've looked into F.A.S.T. and DFI and AEM. But all over $2K when you said and done. I've spent way too much on this engine build already and don't want to sink another $2K.
I have a friend running a "MegaSquirt" stand alone. Anyone here have any experience with them? Looks kinda cool. I'm going to try it. I can build the latest version with wideband and full data for about $600. Price is right! Check it out. www.msefi.com Or google megasquirt

I don't know much about them, other than their a good idea for really high hp fuelie pre-obd2 cars. The megasquirt, isn't that just fuel management only? I'm pretty sure the spark management is the biggest problem with the 5.0 ecu's.

And a standalone fuel management system... Not a bad way to spend 10,000 dollars... Vin Diesel-Slo and the hilarious

You got one of them there CorBorATors on top yours right? Like they had in the 50's? Anything that controls fuel with out wires is just pure fucking magic as far as I'm concerned.

Mike, its just me but you did spend alot on your motor, so why go half ass on the tuning. I would maybe check into the PMS system i heard a couple of good things about it. I know its hard to spend alot of money on stuff like that but i think it would be worth the investment in time. Just like your motor.
