My mother had a 1999 Sable, and she loved the piss out of it. Rode smooth, never had a problem, and looked real nice when polished up (black GS).

It was repo'ed in 2003 though.

I do like black, but beggars cant be choosers. I defiantly hate the round headlights of the earlier years and the newer ones are out of my price range.

I am not sure about a moon roof unless there is a 95% chance that it wont leak. Its going to be holding a shit load of electronics right below it.

Thats not bad, I know they are out there ust a bit cheaper too. I would just look at them make sure they are not pos. That's true about the leak.. I just remembered my GF's mom's don't have one. Its cool tho Just look around and check them out!

I'm thinking about installing a laptop holder for it. I just don't want some crack head to see it and think it will easy to take when its locked to the damn base. I might have to tell my insurance company about it Thats one reason I like the shifter tree instead of it being on the floor. Floor shifters make me claustrophobic and I cant put radios, scanners, hookers down there.

Gonzo, both of my wife's bosses drive Taurus stationwagons- one's a 99 and one's a 2001.

They both have well over 100,000 on them (the 99 is past 150,000) and both run like tops. The 99 doesn't have A/C but that's the only problem it has. They've been meticulously maintained and apparently work great.

I'd say make sure it's in working order, throw three stacks at em', and make em' beg.
