I just picked up a 98 CR 125 for a hell of a price.

Its got a Bills pipe on it. Ive heard of them before but hows it compare to an FMF. Cause thats what ive always had on my bikes.

I never liked Bill's, I ran FMF and Pro Circuit on my 2 strokes always. My buddy had a 98 CR125 back in 98. It was the first year for the aluminum frame. I remember, it was wide, rigid, and handled like a tank. I had a 98 Suzuki RM125 and it was flickable, carved in the corners, and had great ergnomics. The motor wasn't the strongest but it responded well to mods. You need gear? What size do you wear? I'd put a 50 tooth sprocket on the back, a set of comfy bars, and a shorty silencer.

I love my YZ450F, I am going to get back into riding this spring. I'm probably going to build a track on 10 acres. I won't be jumping any 140' triples anymore, but I make a very technical track.

Oh yeah, I bottomed out the suspension on every jump. I actually cracked the subframe flat landing a jump, and hitting the frame on the ground.

bills isnt bad at all. they were alot more into suzukis though.

does fmf still sell two stroke stuff? haha
i saw a ad in transworld in the last few months that was about only two stroke stuff and i was amazed.

a fatty, silencer, reeds and a jet kit would be the way to do it.
and its probably still cheaper then a powerbomb header for a 4stroke hahaha

Yea we destroyed my brothers xr80 a long time ago. I still cant decide if I want to do the full suspension on my 250 or get a 450.

And as for the question at hand, i never heard of bills. I always liked the fmfs, but i think they are a bit over rated. I love my buddy's pro circuit, but its loud as shit!

Bills was a good pipe during the late 90's and early 00's. But FMF and Pro Circuit pretty much dominated after that as far as 2 stroke. Closest bike I had to yours OP was a 00 CR 125. I ran FMF pipe and silencer though, I mean as far as performance goes it wouldnt be worth anything to change it. Unless it all rusted out or something, its a good pipe. Personally with a bike that age I would go ahead and just at least a top end rebuilt, possibly the crank as well depending on the tolerence its at. Just tear it down and see if the crank is loose, if it is swap it out as well. Rebuilt kits for those things are DIRT cheap. Also I would tear down the carb clean it out and your probably need to get it jetted properly. Obviously its not going to be nimble like the newer models but its still going to be a blast to ride. I too miss those old 2 strokes, I went from my 125 to an 03 yz250f then in 06 to a crf250r, then I got hurt and stopped riding... Thats when I got into stangs.
