New Laptop

The "Man" got off the cheap wagon and I finally got my new work laptop. The Toshiba I had was just beat to death and slow as a slug. This new one is a Gateway (I think its actually about 4 months old) but new to me and it runs super fast. None of the buttons stick and its a widescreen which is good for my blind ass....which brings me to another point...

I am trying to get out of the stone ages away from my obsession with CD's. Best Buy and the rest have really cut down on the CD's they stock. In fact, down here, Walmart literally stocks more Latino music than English because CD's just dont sell anymore. So I'm pretty set on an MP3 player but not an IPOD. MY kids both have IPODs and for some reason Im not impressed with the cost or the functionality. I've read some good reviews about the Sandisk Fuse so Im getting one of those. I already signed up for Rhapsody and it seems pretty good so far as well.

My biggest gripe with these things is the physical size. Why the fuck does everything have to be so tiny? I want something bigger. Little things just get lost easier and break easier. At least they could make it the size of like a DVD box or something with a big screen and easy to use jogs and buttons.

Any opinions on the Fuze?? The 8gb is like $70 at Best Buy and its expandable.

I havent looked at Zunes...I again wasnt impressed with the cost. I dont need it to play movies or have some fancy screen. I just need lots of room for songs and EXCELLENT quality playback to devices. The Sandisk was alot cheaper and met those needs (well, at least from the reviews I read). I bought Lil J and my daughter both IPODS. Lil J has the $200+ one and my little girl uses the cheaper Nano. They both work ok but Little J had problems with his because it got a "line" across the screen. Not only that, Itunes seems to be more expensive for my cheap ass (I can't do any of the fun/free ilegal stuff or boarderline shit because of my job).

Gateway ML6720 with ultrabright widescreen. So far its been incredible Rags. I have no idea what the cost is or anything but it works so much better than my other ones. Its comparable to my Dell. The keyboard is comfortable and typing is natural (the Toshiba the buttons were just spaced weird or something....or maybe you had to press them harder to make them click but it wasnt as nice) Im a big Vista fan and it has all that on here too.

Hatch...you got a Zune or know someone with it? Does it work good with Rhapsody???

dude itunes is retarted expensive over time, I dont know anyone with an ipod that actually buys songs off of it, you can copy music over to it strictly to put it in your ipod
