Just set up a nice little 5 gallon, first fish are floating in it right now. I'll get some pictures up once I let them out.

Right now just a Plecostomas (brown suckers can't spell it but you get the point), and a couple tetras.
Not sure what else to get. I was thinking guppies.

i have quite a few african cichlids from lake Malawi

with a 5 gallon i wouldnt put that many fish....do you know what kind of pleco you got...some get over 2 feet.... =-0

"Small"
The stores around here only have one type. We had one grow to about a foot in our 100 gallon tank a few years ago but my buddy has the same type that grew to about four inches. I was told they will grow to the tank.

And I only plan on having about 5 fish in there.

considering you had a 100 gallon dont let me tell u anything you know....

standard rule of thumb is 1 inch per gallon when the fish is full grown....

ive got african cichlids too, they are cool fish i like them alot. tetras are cool and guppies would go good with them i just dont like how guppies constantly have babies ... free fish food i guess lol

I had a 20 gallon.. didn't keep fish in it though.

had 2 Cali Newts.

for something small i would go tetra...or something like that....

cichlids need a pretty large tank.....

i like reptiles....even had a snake...but it smelled so bad when he shit!

free food sounds good to me....but most cichlids are vegies lol....
