mxnate116 ? about HIDs

Did you do a projector install, retrofit or just put the new lights in the place of the old bulb? Do you get flashed by other drivers? did you get the 10000k kit? and finally got any pics?

I like how this guys lights turned out with the cutoff of glare, but the fab work scares the crap out of me. I dont see myself cutting up a pair of brand new housings and I am not touching fiberglass with a 10 foot poll.

plus on this pic, how is it staying in place? He said its ready for mock up, but the shit looks like it would slide out the back.

i used the normal housings i have in my sig. i get flashed but i still need to adjust them again. the cutoff with my ebay housings is surprisingly sharp. and i got the 5300k kit. i wasnt looking for the blue tint just wanted lights that would actually light up the road

i would take pics but the car is up on jacks and the transmission is in my friends hands. hes rebuilding it at school

i will be buying projector lenses to custom fab into my foglights, and when i get around to that i will to a full writeup as well. but i dont want to go through all that trouble with the headlights when all i need is to adjust them.

I went with 10000k

I remember reading about it along time ago and I could not remember which ones I wanted.

And I am very weary about the shit coming out of the wood work on ebay.

yeah 10k is really blue. i think the next step up is purple haha

i did a quick look for projectors on ebay and its either one piece headlights or a standard reflector lens with a projector fog light. which would be great for a LX but not if you want true projector hi/low beams

i have to head out to work so if you have any other q's shoot me a pm

i had 10000k in my focus and loved them. Moved up to 12000k in the mustang and they are purple but the light still looks white on the ground, snow, ect. Definitely more light than halogen even at 12000k but not as much as the focus. The focus also had a bigger headlight too so that may be part of it, plus my housings are smoked now.

I will say with my 12000k in my mustang with the tinted housing, they don't have NEARLY that much colour in them as the pic you posted. No I don't get flashed, but used to in my focus every now and then.
