Thinking of trading my car...worth it?!?

My '01 Cobra is worth about $9000. A guy is emailing me back and forth and he wants to trade me his '97 GT. Here is what he wrote me:

Well it has been my baby for quite some time. Never since I've had it has it seen the snow. Recently I just put a cobra front bumper and hood on it and the emblems. It has chrome cobra R wheels 9" in the front 10 1/2" in the rear. The rear has BFG drag radials with a little life left and the fronts are summitomos near new condition. KYB 4 way adjustable shocks and struts. Wieght Jacker adjustable rear control arms with eibach 1.5 drop springs in the back. Upper adjustable control links in the rear also. 4:11 gears. Coil over conversion kit installed in the front as well as a tubular k member and tubular a arms. bump steer kit. PI Headswapped makes in 10:5:1 Compression. 75mm upper plenum, 75mm throttle body, BBK CAI. BBK underdrive pulleys, accel coils, accel wires, 20lb frpp injectors, 120 lph bbk fuel pump, stainless steel frpp shorty headers, bbk x-pipe, flow master mufflers, welded in subframe connectors, Pro 5.0 short throw shifter. I just recently put black leather interior in it too. I have the original window sticker for it also. Not much for options, It has tilt wheel and power drivers seat and mirrors. It has been well taken care of. Had every intention of taking it to the track but my wife thinks other wise. I thought of some more stuff.... Sniper tuned!! Clear headlights and corners and clear with black bezel tail lights, oil filter relocation kit. new altenator last summer, pod guages installed but never hooked up yet.

What do you think it is worth? It is worth $9000? KBB private party value for a stock '97 GT is about $5000. Could I trade him and make it worth it?!? I would sell his car once I bought it. I'm thinking if I trade him, his car would be easier to sell than mine?!? Waddya thinkin?!?

All mine needs is a Pi intake and Pi cam swap and it could wipe your cobra up and down the streeT!

I'd have to agree with the majority and say it's not a good deal. While he has obviously put alot of time into the suspension and done some significant bolt ons his car isn't worth nearly what yours is. There is no way he is going to get 9,ooo for a 97 GT without it being supercharged on top of all his suspension mods.

Ya I told the guy I probably needed at least a couple thousand to trade and he said he didn't really want to sell his "baby" anyway!! Ya I really don't want to trade just to sell whatever I just traded. I want to sell it straight up and live happily ever after...
