The last few days have been really rough, she hasn't been in school since Wed morning. Saw the doctor today, it looks like we're looking at SCT (stem cell transplantation) sooner rather than later. I'm going to be her donor, which is a risky move since we aren't biologically related (I was adopted), but kids are supposed to have much better success with the transplant than adults. We're looking at 4-6 weeks in the hospital. She'll need filtered air, she'll be on a special floor. I'll have to suit up, gloves, mask, the whole ordeal to be able to visit with her. The chemo she's going to get beforehand is supposed to be incredibly painful, so I'm taking work off to be there with her every single day.

Thanks to you guys, I can afford SCT for Madison. No joke. Emptying out my savings, adding in the money I would be making in the next 2 weeks, I was $600 under what the treatment was going to cost (it's hugely expensive). Hopefully this lasts for a while, because if she needs it again soon, we'll I'm going to hope the trees in my yard start producing $100 bills.

Im terribly sorry to hear this. Let us know if you are moving to VA early because of that. If you need help moving in (when ever that is) I can help out. Hell half of MM would probably help you out. Ill see what i can do about getting people to pitch in but most people were i live are stingy and want to know the person or at least meet them.

Thanks guys! I think the move is still going to happen mid-April. Were looking at the SCT end of April. Before we looking at July/August so it's a big time change, but a lot of people seem to have great results with the SCT, so we're crossing our fingers.

Doc I will thank Madison. It may have been a short card, but she spent a while writing it because she really wanted to write in cursive and was having a hard time with it.
