i have no idea how to post pictures using the codes. could somebody please explain to me how to do this.

in order to post the picture without actually uploading it, you need to first host the picture somewhere, like photobucket.com or if the picture is already on the web right click and choose properties to get the website address. then use the Img button or manually type in the code like;

[img]http://www.picturehosting.com/22.jpg[/img]

You can also attach pictures to posts by clicking the button right above submit that says "Add an Attachment".

So, to put a pic in your signature it has to be on Photobucket or somewhere else? Then in the sig line I just point to the address?

Yes. Create an account at photobucket, or some other free image hosting service. Then simply click on the 'IMGCode' line, and it will automatically copy that line to your Windows clipboard.
Then simply right click in the post field where you are typing, and select 'paste', and it will paste that code in, which will in turn show that picture in your post.

it will also work by pasting that code in to your signature field in your profile.
