Opinions Wanted...

Well I'm not really sure if i should post this here but oh well. I have a 2003 V6 as of now and I have been working an exreme amount of time and I have enough to either buy a 2003-2004 GT and mod it or buy a 20003-2004 Mach 1 and then save up to mod it later. I could also take out a small loan to get a 2003-2004 Cobra, but I dont really want to take out a loan at 18. What should I do?

I would say go with the loan, as long as you know you can pay it off and if you can thats another plus you have shown the credit agency at 18 y/o you can be resposible and your credit will be good!!!

Umm if you for sure can pay off the loan then I guess that would be fine...but I'd rather just get the mach.

i'd never get a loan unless you are 100% sure you can pay it all back.. if you know you can, get the cobra.. hands down

not to rain on anyone's parade here....buut also consider insurance. If you know you can pay it off but it'll be close think about including insurance in that.

If you got the money for the MACH go with that debt at 18 don't sound fun.

full coverage insurance on a cobra for an 18 year old is gonna be over $400 a month. Your insurance will be more than your car payment, i doubt a mach 1 will be much better than the cobra. id go with a GT, unless you have the money, the def go for the cobra!!!

+1 on the cobra....IF AND ONLY IF you can afford insurance...they are right, I was quoted at well over 400 a month on a 99 cobra...Plus if you get a loan for a car, i believe it is required to be full coverage, at least it is in IN and KY.

Personally i would just mod out a Gt if i couldnt afford the cobra. Of get a foxbody!!!

Just my opinion, but if you could afford the mach 1, and would have to loan money for the cobra and end up paying thousands more in intrest, why would you even consider the cobra?

dont get the loan man.. you have to consider insurance.. insurance on a cobra is gonna run you the same as you owning a corvette.. ESPECIALLY at 18.. just go with the Mach1 they are fast and iam sure you will be pleased

or just get the gt and save money on car insurance by switching to geico.. then mod the crap out of it and kill cobras and mach1s!

My dad would be driving the cobra or mach "wink wink". lol you gota love not being the primary drive on a car. I think I want the Mach 1 anyway. If i throw a intercooled supercharger on it, then it can hang with the cobra's just fine. Another thing is you could easily take a Mach and find a wrecked Cobra and make a new cobra with just taking off the Shaker and putting the blower on. I have a few friends that might be able to hook me up with a cobra 6-speed tranny and its idependant rear end.

Don't get a loan, i'm paying my 2500 loan back for a tranny for my 5.0. I can pay it, but you have to manage money. Between that a credit card, and insurance for 2 cars, there's not that much spending money anymore.

Why would you want IRS... (WHEEL HOP FTL)

Anyway you can throw an Intercooled supercharger on it, untill the M1's hypercraptastic pistons go on you...

I think vortech or procharged blew up a motor trying to test the s/c on a Mach 1

And remember the m1 and cobra motors are not identical...

you cant take out a loan at the age of 18 here. you need some support of credit. so parents just co-sign.
