If you missed the thread (Pray For Her), Casey (xtremes10's sister) has a brain tumor. I think we should band together for her and her family and get a donation fund started, as we have for others that were in similar situations.

xtremes10 has not asked for any donation, but i believe it is the right thing to do, even if it is to get her some get well things.

well this was a spur of the moment thing. i saw the pray for her thread, and wanted to get this started asap.

i want to get the names of everyone in the crew so i can send out pm's easier.

Well thanks everyone, the thoughts, prayers, and everything you guys are doing is much appreciated. We aren't sure how to accept the donations, as we all feel it could be better used than with our plight. We were told today that it is most likely a cyst that is growing which is common in our family (I have cysts on my wrists as does my oldest sister, ect ect) and that it is operable and unlikely to cause permanent damage. However she is in danger of a stroke and WILL have to have surgery to remove it.

Just wanted to let everyone else in on this and just let you guys know where we stand. It is very heartfelt of everyone to think about donating to us, but like we all agreed it would be put to a much better use at a charity organization in my sisters name.

any donations that we receive will be sent to you, either through personal check from me or through paypal, whichever you prefer. once it gets to that point, you and your family can decide what to do with the funds, even if its just some get well flowers or something for Casey

Thanks guys, the big scare is a stroke, they said it may be an ongoing thing due to our cyst problems but they also noted that a lot of people have these and never know, she just happened to have one that caused a serious headache and some neurological issues for a day

i had a cyst in my wrist and damn that thing hurt. they had to stick a needle through it about 18 times.. i passed out from the pain it hurt so much (coming from a guy that didnt flinch when his head was fractured by a baseball bat). the cyst is gone (as far as i know.. cant feel it anymore) and i still have bad pain in my wrist. i know what shes going through... somewhat

I wish the best as well. Keep her on Vitamin A and C as they can help prevent re-occurrence of cysts.

A girl I was friends with in high school actually had a brain tumor, which is nearly identical to a cyst in the way it acts. Well, my point is, she had surgery on it and you'd never even know she had anything before, she healed up extremely well and is completely fine now (just thought it might make you feel a bit more at ease to know that it's a very fixable thing, and that I'm sure it will go over real well).
