well it was my 1st time and i had no idea where to go so i asked around n went for it.....I made a new friend even! lol he has a Neon SRT 4 with 14lbs of boost wich is what I raced all night. my 1st race went well! I kinda messed up because i didnt do the courtsy stage i went to far. and I didnt know it would stage that damn quick. lol any way after I noticed it staged I got on it and he beat me. I got 1.199 for my reaction time, 2.37 for my 60 ft, 6.41 for my 330ft and a 9.69 @ 75.90 MPH in the 1/8 and he still beat me with a 9.39 @ 77.53. my 2nd time i did better well I bet him...lol my reaction time was 0.6153 and I did a 9.63 @ 75.86 he had a 9.99 @ 74.90.....lol he missed 3rd but it still says WINNER on mine! lol the 3rd race i was racing his buddy in a fox 5.0 and i messed up badly! lol i tried to hard to hit the green light perfact and just spun my tires n didnt hardly move.....lol i got a 12.78 @ 72.62...lmao so then i was pissed n had to try that agian so i went back up n they matched me with a f250 with a turbo.......I WON i did much better I got a 9.99 @ 74.66 he got a 11.20 @ 63.65....lol so then my buddy zack wanted to race again i his SRT 4 and his buddy with a v6 stang wanted to ride along with me ( hmmmm I wounder Why??? lol) wich i agreed to. lol so we go up n i mess up i red lighted with a reaction time of 0.3982 (almost a goodin! ) and then to make it better I grinded 3rd......so i didnt want to leave with that so we went back arround (6er still in passenger seat) so I hit the green n punch it and hit every shift and was neck n neck the whole way.....that was better I got beat but still was respectable 9.56 @ 75.82 and he got a nice 9.38 @ 79.07.......but remember this was my 1st time n didnt even get a chane to change tire pressure befor the races. so i was happy! And now Im hooked! fockers why didnt you guys tell me Id get hooked so damn quick! lol but on a VERRRY good note.......even my worst time (12.78) I would still of ruined every honda there.......

lol I use to live in CO....lol i know.....but down here its trashie......unless you live over by the country club.....wich i do. lol. n hell yeah its addicting! I kept telling my self " ok Chris just one more n go home give the car a rest" lol i didn't go home in till it closed. lol

I went 1/4 mile at Thunder park Raceway about 2 weeks ago and I got addicted as well. I like it better then doing it in the street.

The track is awesome. It is legit, no speeding tickets there. I got a ticket the other night, the cop said i was racing, but going 54 in a 35 with nobody near me isnt considered to be racing in my eyes....I bet the determining factor for him were the slicks in the hatch. I bet if they werent in there i would have got out of it!

Too bad it wasn't a full quarter mile dragstrip eh? But yeah I've been twice (my car's stock though you'd beat me, lol) and I too am hooked. You really need to work on that 60ft mark. Anything over 2 seconds, ouch. Drag radials man, that's what we both need

Too bad you don't know what you're times woulda been w/o the 4.10s, just to compare ya know - fyi stock gears I believe I remember correctly and I got a 9.25 @ 79 in the 1/8 (I lost my slip damnit) so you must've been spinnin rubber pretty bad eh? maybe a little bit in 2nd too right? haha good times... if only I were in Texas I'd be a willing participant to line up with ya buddy

I was gonna say, damn that sounds slow for a cobra, but i bet he was spinning his ass off. My stock 5.0 went high 9s stock in the 1/8. Low 15 in the quarter, but launching sucks because it is an AOD and i can only footbrake to about 1000...all about to change my friends!!! But it has a few more mods since the time i ran it all stock.

yeah it was just a 1/8 but still funn as hell! and yes i spun my tires have way down the track....lol .....1st tires spin bad 2nd tires spin through half the gear and third I spin my tires a little bit n then i get traction just as soon as i have to shut her down....lol
