Super Trooper

So I'm sitting at a red light in Matthews, NC, the same town in which i work with the local police friday and saturday nights. As the light turns green with no intention at all i let the clutch out a bit too fast and spin my tires. A state trooper happened to be sitting across the way at the adjacent light and proceeded to pull me over. In the midst of him pulling me over, my step brother who was following behind me attempted to move out of the way of the officer and pull to the shoulder of the road. The super trooper side swiped him like an idiot, and because of his errors he was not in a good mood at all, thus now i'm sitting on a ticket for wreckless driving described as "spinning tires and fish tailing" when in actuality i spun them for about 3-4 feet before i threw it into second to regain traction and at no point in the process lost control of the vehicle. I was cooperative with the officer, very helpful, have never had any previous traffic violations and yet he still slaps me with something that could potentially put quite a few points on my license as well as jack my insurance to an unaffordable premium..... go state troopers!

First offense will probably be lowered to improper driving if not completely dismissed.

First ticket I ever received was a wreckless ticket the day after I turned 18, and she was bein a huge bitch. Ended up being dismissed.

yupp 1st offense you can have droped pretty easyily.......just not if it was in a school zone...hehe

ya my first wreckless was dropped to a speeding ticket.

my 1st...n only was going 30 in a school zone and the cop dropped it down to 29mph instead of 30 he said that way it will only take 1 point away insted of 4 points. so i just had to pay $325 and pay $16 a month extra on my insurance.

You know something, now I KNOW I'm getting older. When I first read this, my initial inclination was to bust your balls about the whole "I only chirped my wheels & threw it into 2nd to regain traction scenario', but then I gave some thought to the things I have been busted for when I was younger. We won't even discuss some of those. lol

I hope you catch a break on this deal, SY.

lol you'll get it dropped. My first ticket was 118 in a 50 dropped to improper equipment.

I never got cought for most of the shit i did thank god! lol

I would consult a lawyer, especially if your brother witnessed the event and the cop side-swiped him.

Instead of having the ticket reduced you could have it completely dropped and have the cop cited for reckless driving himself.
