Car Stolen

My 2001 Mustang was stolen, the car was found the same day by me. I was car jacked and they took my keys, so now i have to get a new key, What do you guys think it would cost me?

About $100 to buy a key and have it programmed. Gotta have the car at the locksmith so they can program it. Might be able to call Ford, give them the VIN, and they might can cut and program the key without the car being there.

Wow...that sucks, but good job on gettin it back. If you had a spare I was told you can get it copied and then program it yourself.

That really does suck. Did you find out who stole it, or was it just left at some random place?

that sucks man =/. but i'd ask your insurance or just go str8 to a ford dealership. the newer cars since like idk 99,98 sumthing like that have little chips supposedly in the key...and u need that to start your cars. it'll run you like $100-120. but you can trust ford and it might be $20 more but better them do it then someone u dont know really

Yea, and also what if he loses the key, or if that key gets stolen again?

... but the thing is you will need another key to do that... plus who ever stole your key... will have an easy time stealing your whip again... cuz they allready have a key that the computer recognizes

well just get it to change the authorization code that the chips use then that key will turn the ignition but the engine will die after 20 seconds
