do you plan on doing any competitive shooting with it. just to let you know the sigs are great guns but they have an extremelt long trigger reset so if your shooting fast, you will be slower with a sig as compared to say a glock. and when i mean fast im not talking about 1 shot per second im talking like 6-7 shots per second. but hey, its a nice gun and it will make you happy unless you plan to do any competitive shooting like IPSC. anyways what do you think of glocks?

and they are DOA (double action only) which in a combat weapon is not the best.

im a gun nut! but i belive you should always shoot the biggest caliber that yu can control and soot accuratly and make sure the gun fits you well. a $1200 pistol means shit if ya cant shoot it!!! anyways thats a nice gun up there and if it fits you good, you won't be dissapointed!

i am not gun expert, but i do know the basics and i know how to shoot. i want something small enough to carry around that can stop whatever i am shooting at. its for protection. also, i wanted something the girlfriend could use, if need be, while i am gone underway....

in that case you should go and buy your gf a seperate gun that fits her maybe in a smaller caliber than what you are shooting! i bought my gf a karh 9mm. its small and she loves and it fits in her purse or where ever she wants to carry it. have you considered a glock. they make excellent guns and you cant beat the relaibilty in them. ive proll shot a hundred thousand rounds through my glock 21 and have never had one single jam or misfire or anything go worng. ya just cant beat em especially for the price. since yuor military, you can probably get a glcok for arounf 400-450. anyways have a good one.

thats big gun! a very nice one to but kinbers are real finiky with ammo so might take some time to find what works great! are you planning on carriyung this gun and if so, does your state allow open carry. if not that will be a hard gun to conceal. my carry gun is a glock 30! its small and still hold 10+1 of .45 its got a little recoil to it but not so much that my gf whos 5'2" 105 lbs cant handle it. it conceals very easy! and if you are going to conceal it i know a guy that makes some amazing holsters for iwb (inside waist band) and he can make a holster for just about anything. if so let me know and ill get his contact info for you. but that kimber is a good gun but it wouldn't be MY first choice. you buy what makes you happy and what fits you. another thing you might go do is go to a gun shop where you can rent guns and see what will work for you and what wont. id hate to see ya buy a gun not ever shooting one before and not be able to stand it or shoot it well. anyways good luck. i still suggest glock!

heres a pic of my house guns. the big glock is the one i have next to my bed and its also my competition gun. its a mosel 21. the little one is the glock 30 and thats the carry gun. the shotgun lays inder the bed and its a mossberg 590a1 and the ar is the ew s&w m&p15. it shoots amazing. if its going to be just for the house. id go for a shotgun over a pistol. its easier to control. its kind of a point and shoot type deal! and you dont have to worry about over penetrating if your using buckshot.
