Poor girl

Well as most of Y'all know I have the new baby. She is almost 6 months old and ready to start crawling. Well unfortuanatly last week my wife went to pet my dog Sprocket and she got bit. Well long story short I put her down on Monday. I am feeling very down and out because I have had the dog since she was a newborn puppy (owned the mother). So 12 years later she is dead today. Here is a video of her playing with her favorite toy. A simple piece of wood. She is the rotty mix in the video. Zip said he would post the video so here is to Zip. Some one should buy that man a beer. I just had to get good things from people and you guys have never let me down before. lol. She will be missed and I must admit it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do to date. Thank you for listening guys. It really means alot to talk to people.

As much as it hurts to have made this decision, it would have been much worse to have wished you had made this decision, if your little one had been bit.

Yeah now she is in a box next to the bed. I had her cremated so I can bury her back in wyoming under her favorite tree. lol

Sorry to hear that man. I had to put down my childhood pet last year.. He was my everything. He was a 13 tear old pure bread chocolate lab. He was a little over 100lbs he was all muscle.. Normally they dont live that long especially when there that big.. But i know how you feel man it sucks bad, but hang in there man..

This might be weird to some, but since she is cremated you can have some ash mixed into tattoo ink and if you have a piece dedicated towards her, she will be apart of it and you. (heard about people doing it with other people)

Sorry to hear it bro, I am going to have to put mine down today also. He is almost 14, Has been the greatest dog ever. He has battled cancer and beat it, and more recently a heart problem that he has been on medicine for, but as of saturday he laid down, he won't move, not even to go to the bathroom, and wont eat. Its the hardest thing I have ever had to do but I am having the vet come today....Its killing me. He has been there for me for 14 years and never turned his back on me or asked me for anything besides love and food......This Sucks really bad, all I can say is that he has had a good life, traveled the world, and I have a puppy from him that looks and acts just like him to kind of keep him around....

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's the hardest thing for someone to do. Dog's are a part of the family, but if she's biting, you can't have that at all..

Really feel for you fastback, I just got off the phone with the vet and he is going to come tomorrow, this is really hard....going to bury him out on my property with his bed and baby, and plant two palm trees above him to stand for Always and Forever, cause I will remember him always and forever and putting him toward the front (5 acres) of the drive way cause he would always run up there to meet me when he heard my truck pull in, and follow me out when I left...

I have never had to do this and am praying that he goes naturally in his sleep tonight. I didn't think I would ever be able to do this but I can not see him suffer...

Really sorry to hear about this. I had to do the same thing. Dogs get jealous when a baby comes into the home. A lot of times it is just to establish pecking order. Like yourself though, I couldn't take a chance that someone would get hurt and had to put our dog down.
