Debating next car purchase

I'm really digging the way this one looks, but my gut is telling me to stay far far far away from it...

Did saleen ever use a cobra engine, or did they just put a body kit on the car?

well correct me if im wrong but i think they had a body kit, and there own saleen s/c. maybe some other upgrades to. like the saleen s281

They had 3 stages, first stage was just a body kit, third stage had a supercharger...but all three platforms used the 2v. Dunno about if they ever used the cobra engine.

i believe it was just a 4.6L v8 s/c.....

I used to love vettes, but what made me start to dislike them is that they're everywhere. I can't go to the grocery store down the street without seeing 2 or 3 vettes. Plus 90% of the people that drive them are old farts. The only way I'd buy a corvette is if it's a z06.
I rarely see cobras... and when i do i'm just blown away by them

Get a cobra.

vette all the way, they seem to be a better building block for more to come if you build it up. and everyone seems to have mustangs these days. those corvettes were 40-50k new. and i cant remember off the top of my head im at work but doesnt that type your looking at come with a 7.0 liter? FI is great but liters is the direct route for torque and power

Pretty sure Saleen modded a few termis, but it was like 20 of them total. I'd find out if it's the real deal. If it is, then jump on it.

Are you serious? I see waaaaay more vette's around here than Mustangs. Plus you just look like a pompous asshat in a vette.

save the vette for your midlife crisis like the rest of us jeeeeezzzz... i see more stangs on the road than vettes but i hardly ever see cobras. i have seena few this year total and i have seen like 5,000 vettes, and about a dozen z06's

The rarity factor is kind of a moot point with either of these cars...mustangs and corvettes are dime a dozen. Cobra's are a bit more rare, but so are ZO6'S, etc.

i see more z06's than cobras. i have never seen a termi before, up close but i have seen 2 new gt500's

Meh, you can find a really clean z06 for less than 27k not gonna be 06+ but it really depends on what your looking for. Personally I would choose the vette, FI sounds fun, but I like raw power better

I would pony up another 2k and go for a GT500.

If your dead set on the two, in my opinion.............gasp..............go for the vette. You said you are into creature comforts, then you will not be happy with a cobra.
