I get to man up and drive an hour to Louisiana to go to traffic court.
I got a 93 in a 70 to pay....$233.35
I also have a texting while driving to pay, BUT it's a court mandatory thing.
I read online and it's a maximum $175 fine for a first time offense....
So why do they want me to go to court?
I'm gunna plead guilty regardless, although I could fight it and probably win
I guess they want me to go to court so they can shame me?
And get court fees outta me?
I withdrew $700 hopefully thatll cover all the cost.
If I got any leftover Ima go cruise tommorow night lol

What type of ticket did you get? Radar, lidar? You should fight it, you could get it reduced and insurance won't go up as much. If the cop doesn't show up or the radar wasn't calibrated within a certain period of time it isn't valid evidence/the case is thrown out. Good luck

He didnt have a radar....
He had a normal a lil ford unmarked car all it had was lights.
It looked like his personal car,
But he claimed that he got my speed by riding next to me...
I would fight it but I haven't told my parents....
I wasn't texting, but i was looking at my phone.
I could fight this too by bringing in phone records, but I just
wanna deal an move on
Although this money was my exhaust money, ill get over it

i would at least print your phone bill and prove you werent texting? takes two minutes to print out and you save some money. just my .02

Fight it, get a lawyer or something. If he doesn't have a radar/lidar speed reading your chances of successfully fighting it go way up. It'll be a lot cheaper than the insurance increase, I'm sure of that.

Why blow $700 if you don't have to? If the cop doesn't show up, I think you should fight it. If he does, man up for the speeding and possibly the texting but make a point that you weren't actually texting.

I'll stay off the subject of cell phones and cars because some ass hat almost took me out on the highway earlier because he was on his phone and decided he didn't want to get off on that exit and assumed nobody was in his way.

and ask him for advice.
Depending on what he says I'll base it off of that.

Talk to the DA and agree to plead guilty to 14 over, and see if they will drop the texting.

15 over and you get points and insurance increases.

If they don't want to give you 14 over then tell them you want a trial.

They'll probably agree to the 14 over just to get your $$$ and be done with it - its all about revenue anyway. The texting doesn't matter...again it is about $$$$

dont try and hide it from your parents by spending $700..... they'll find out and be more upset with you, and you'll be out $700 and their trust. i know from multiple experiences.

The texting law was just passed and Idk how leanent they are on it
I'm going in my sundays best clean shaven, and im very respectful
so that should help.
I only recieved one ticket all my life lol

god i had a state trooper pace me for 4 miles last night...i hate how they're doing that now lol over using the radar...it was 11pm so no lights on the hwy i was on, but i knew it was a trooper because my HIDs lit up his hidden car behind some bushes..he sneaks out on the road behind and turns on his headlights...catches up with me and stays at my rear bumper opposite lane to keep up...lol unfortunately for him i had cruise set at 56 mph in a 55 and was relaxing after work on my long as drive

sry if i thread jacked, i just understand the annoyance of pacing..it's becoming the norm over regular radar use

i just go 5-10 under the speed limit. after about 2 minutes they pull off onto some other road
