just paid off my last credit card!

God it feels good.
It's a minor thing, but a small victory for my Friday! It wasn't that I carelessly pissed away money as a teenager - my family split up right as I graduated high school, and the credit cards supplemented my low pay at the time to put food on the table for us. I took my time paying it off, and man oh man does it feel good now!

Few grand on the student loan,,,couple on the car, and I'll be BACK AT ZERO

,,,the creamy equilibrium middle,,,,,,

...as far as debt goes.

...taking a stack of clothes to charity later too. SPREAD THE LOVE!

Congrats..I felt great once I paid mine off. Now all I got is my truck(paid off next summer) and my mustang will be paid off in a few years....hopefully.

DEBT FREE

I haven't used a credit card in years (except when renting cars, and what not). If I can't pay in cash, I don't need it.

It's funny how some of us (in debt) struggle just to get back to 'zero'. I'd like to close one of the cards, I don't really need it,,but then it hurts my credit. So stupid.

debit cards are ok and i think credit cards should only be used in an emergency. im a few years short of having one but i think i will hold off on one until i need one. btw cash baby!!

2 car payments and a mortgage. Although I could sell everything i own, pay off all debts, and still be in the black so I'll take it.

Congrats man!

My sister and her husband were in debt pretty bad with credit cards, car payments, student loans... you name it, but they followed the whole Dave Ramsey thing and paid everything off.

I took a Dave Ramsey class last year. pretty good stuff. If I don't have the cash for something.. im not gonna buy it

Well I've always had a 'handle' on it, but wasn't putting a dent in the balances really. Had my family to support and move around the country, and just life in general that got in the way. Lately things are calming down, and I've been slamming out my debt. Just feels so good!

I finally caved two months ago and applied for my first card. I'm 21 and have been a firm believer of if I can't use my debit card or cash, that it's not gonna happen. The world that requires credit checks to do anything says otherwise...
