sooo.. idk if this is right section. cam questions
okeeeee... so ive been thinking of doing cams, since i cant get the lightning i was looking at
 . my friend said he would install them for me while i help/learn. i just dont know if i should trust him or not. he's been a deisel machanic for 2 years now, and has changed cams in an F150 before, but how hard/easy is it to fuck up your car if your dont do them right? i just really dont want to pay $600.00 for the guy at our local performance shop to do them. i figured i would hae my friend do it, and then take it to get tuned before i really drive it much. good idea or no? also. what hp gain could i expect from comp cams stage II, and what oter parts would i need to do it?

$600 isnt a bad deal for a reputable shop to install cams. When I was pricing out cams for my 97 gt, I was quoted 900+ every shop. On your gt, you should see 300hp if your already a full bolton car.
