Attention College Juniors and Seniors!!!
What do you want Phillip?!?!
Spreading the wealth of knowledge is important, and I find myself in a place where it would benefit everyone who is in the same position as I am to have such knowledge shared with them. I know there are passionate people who are willing to debate ethical issues here and so with that said, I have received news in my university that The Elie Wiesel Foundation is currently open to accepting submissions to The Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay Contest 2011. People who are eligible for this contest are Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors in accredited 4 year colleges/universities, in a non-associates degree program that are in school full-time. So what's the topic dude? The following topics are for this year's contest (choose): · Articulate with clarity an ethical issue that you have encountered and analyze what it has taught you about ethics and yourself. · Reflect on the relationship between religion and ethics in today's world, making sure to draw on your own life as a guide. · What does your own experience tell you about the relationship between politics and ethics and, in particular, what could be done to make politics more ethical? What do I get out of this? The awards are as followed: one 1st prize ~ $5,000 one 2nd prize ~ $2,500 one 3rd prize ~ $1,500 two honorable mentions ~ $500 each. So what's the catch? General Requirements are as followed: In 3,000 to 4,000 words, you are encouraged to raise questions, single out issues and identify dilemmas. The essay should be developed from your point of view and may take the form of an analysis that is biographical, historical, literary, philosophical, psychological, sociological or theological. Essay must be the original, unpublished work of one student. Only one essay per student per year may be submitted. All essays must have a title. Essay should be titled, typed in 12-point font in English, double-spaced with 1" margins and numbered pages. Submissions will be judged anonymously. Hence, no name or identifying references (i.e. your name, school, or professor) should appear on the title page or in the manuscript. Our office will put a code on your essay. HOW MUCH TIEM!?!?! DEADLINE DECEMBER 6, 2010 What else? For more information on eligibility, essay format, FAQ, past submissions and other questions, please visit this link: The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity Final words I'm still thinking whether or not I want to participate in this contest, but other than that, I hope that someone finds this information useful and can voice out their opinion in the issue of ethics

![]() I'm still up in the air about it. If anything I might start on it like on the 21st or something along those lines. I have exams in 2 days and would rather work on that first

yea... there's always that lol.
I'm sure the probability of winning first prize is very very slim, as I'm sure there are eloquent writers out there in which are in levels way beyond my league. But I'll probably still give it a shot and see where I land. Then yet, I still haven't a clue what I want to write about.
