The sheriffs around here have one of those as well. But it's silver and the lights are all inside and behind the grille. It's got "SHERIFF" stickers on the sides, but apparently it's low profile enough to have people pulled over 90% of the time they've got it out on the highway. Local PD has an undercover S197 as well. All black, really dark window. Nice looking car, until the lights go on.

The only ones I have seen around here belong to Highway patrol, The sheriff's around here drive crown vic's, ford expeditions, and f-350s.

SLPD Is using Chevy Tahoe's now. I barely ever see a crown vic or impala anymore, just the tahoe's.

They're like this one with the black/white and gold letters, but ALL 4 doors are white instead of just two and it has that sick brush guard and stuff with a bunch of antennas

Is Ford going to stop making the Crown vic? Thats what I've heard, but I don't have any info on it, I wonder if they will start using Taurus SHO's

Yes, no more Crown Vics. Yes for the Tarus, probably not SHOs at least not for the majority.

Yes, Ford is doing away with the Crown Vic and it's variants. They will be using the Tauruses.

yeah, I told my guy thats what I want as my "mom car" that or a new sploder.

He said " sure. if you want to deprive your children of other things just so you can have a new car that the kids don't even care about"

He really knows how to smash my hopes. haha He often puts me in my place like that.

Hahaha nice. Tell him that when they are first born they won't know they are being deprived of things. Don't want to spoil them right away.

Honestly...when I was a cop we used the cars we seized and made them cool with flasing cool lights so when you were tripping of of X you would have a wonderful time

They will always compete with one another over police contracts. That's why you see in some areas they will use Chargers, other areas are using Crown Vics, etc. There's even one company, I can't think of their name off the top of my head, but they are specializing in making law enforcement vehicles.

we have a white trailblazer that is a cop with no signs on it that got me my first and only ticket. i couldnt see him or tell he was a cop ...sucked

there is a blue 2000ish GT in town thats completely unmarked. but the guy that used to drive it got busted for doing 100mph across state lights and siren blazing, for no reason. state patrol tried to radio him but he was off duty and his radio was off haha, havent seen it much since then
