First Stephen King book
Just ordered it... Under the Dome.
Never read anything by him, but I hear the name constantly. Hopefully it will be a good read. Most novels I have read are 400-550ish pages long. This one is 1,088. Anyone read this novel? It was released in July 2010.

Never heard of this one.
There are many good Stephen King books. Here are a few that I've read that I really liked: The Shining The Dark Tower Series (7 books) Eyes of the Dragon The Stand (LONG but damned good read) The Dead Zone Desperation Thinner I never finished The Dark half or the Tommyknockers. The Dark Half turned out to be a pretty good movie though. The Tommyknockers on the other hand, horrible movie. The problem with those two books as you'll often find in some parts of Stephen King's writings are that occasionally he drags on. I just got bored with reading.

"The Stand" #1 favorite book by steven king. They made a movie but it does the book no justice.

Tommyknockers was horrible. I managed to finish it, because I'm unable to start a book and not finish reading it. But just horrible.

The shining was pretty cool.... I have IT somewhere around here as well. I didn't read Misery but I saw the film which was pretty cool.

The Stand was an awesome book. Loved Christine. Also read From a Buick 8 (one of his more obscure books), The first of the Dark Tower Series (need to finish the series), Cujo, Tommyknockers (couldn't finish), and a bunch of others.
